Musical Chair Scavenger Hunt

This starts out like traditional musical chairs.  You have one less chair than people playing.  The music plays and contestants walk around the chairs.  When the music stops, the DJ also calls out something that the contestants must find and bring back before they can sit down. For example, the DJ might call out, "a set of keys.".  Everyone must find a set of keys and bring it back to a chair.  A player is eliminated and then a chair is removed.  This time when the music stops and the DJ calls out an item to find, the players must return the first item before locating the new item.  Play continues until there is just one or two winners.

Coke and Pepsi

have all the people who want to play pick a partner and have them line up parallel to each other (similar to how you would see a balloon toss line). Dub one side coke and the other side pepsi. You explain to the kids when you say coke, the coke side runs to pepsi side and sits on partners knee. If you say pepsi the pepsi side does the same and sits on cokes knee.

This is a great game to play with all of your guests. The object is simple. The guests are asked to dance to a song and then freeze when the music stops. Homecoming/Prom King/Queen/People

The homecoming or prom king and queen process is a cherished tradition in many high schools, often adding a memorable highlight to the event. Here's a breakdown of the process and how you, as DJs, would announce the winners in a grand and exciting manner:

1. Nomination Process:

Weeks Before the Event: Students nominate their peers for king and queen. This is typically done through a voting process organized by the school's student council or a similar group. The candidates are usually seniors and are often chosen based on popularity, involvement in school activities, or other criteria set by the school.

2. Campaigning (Optional):

Leading Up to the Event: Some schools allow candidates to campaign. This might involve posters, social media campaigns, or word-of-mouth promotion.

3. Final Voting:

On the Day or Week of the Event: Students cast their final votes. This is usually done anonymously and often takes place at school or during the event itself.

4. Tallying Votes:

Behind the Scenes: The student council or organizing committee tallies the votes. The results are kept secret until the announcement.

5. Announcement Preparation:

As DJs: Prepare an announcement script. Build suspense with music and engaging commentary. Ensure you have the correct pronunciation of the winners' names.

6. Making the Announcement:

During the Dance: Choose an optimal time, usually mid-way through the event, for the announcement. Start by highlighting the significance of the tradition and acknowledging all the nominees.

Build Up the Excitement: Use suspenseful music and lead-in commentary to build excitement. "Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've all been waiting for..."

Announce the Winners: "Please put your hands together for your [Year] Homecoming/Prom King and Queen..." Then, announce their names with enthusiasm.

Celebrate the Moment: Encourage applause and cheer from the crowd. Invite the winners to the stage or dance floor for their crowning and possibly a ceremonial dance.

7. Post-Announcement:

Play Celebratory Music: Choose songs that uplift the mood and celebrate the moment.

Engage the Audience: Keep the energy high and encourage everyone to continue enjoying the event.

Remember, the key to a successful announcement is to maintain a balance of respect for the tradition while also ensuring it's a fun and memorable moment for all attendees.
